For example, if your company were to sell laptops and you were to set up a pay-per-click advertising campaign on Google, then each time a person searches for laptops, a link to your website would appear as one of the sites that has paid to be there.

As the name suggests, you only pay a few pennies each time a person looking for laptops clicks on your link to your website. Therefore this is the most targeted way of advertising and is the most effective. This is because you do not have to pay a large sum of money in the hope that someone with like your advert on TV, you will only pay for those people that actually come and visit your website.
